This session took place on a lovely Destin, FL afternoon is September. The Sparks family was vacationing with some good friends who decided to split the session with them. This is a great example of how the light can change so much during a one our beach session as the sun is setting. Their little cutie really stole the show!

Okay..I might have snapped my fingers a few times and sang the song.lol Anyways! This family was such a joy to photograph. Jodie and I go waaayyy back to when I worked with her at a movie rental joint back in high school. I can’t tell you how much it warms my heart to photograph her beautiful family and to see her so happy. Thank you Adam’s family for allowing me to photograph your awesome family at Eden State Park! Last week was one of the busiest weeks for beach portraits, as families began to get ready to go back to school. The “M” family who, enjoying their vacation from Indianapolis, had picked not only a great week to come (as the crowds begin to lighten) but also a jewel of a location in Santa Rosa Beach. Behind the beach cottages the shore meets a spring fed lake, making little pools perfect for wading. I had never photographed here before and was in heaven! Lovely family, lovely location; you really can’t ask for more!

I don’t know if I can say much about these two, but that they are just a gorgeous couple who love each other very much. Don’t you love Darae’s hair? Makes me ALMOST wanna grow my hair back out.lol Thank you both for allowing me to photograph such an awesome time in your lives and Congratulations! This family was the best! The kids had so much energy and they really showed off in front of the camera.The very brave Mother of this silly little bunch was so patient with them and loving. I don’t know how she did it, but their ages are 2,4,6 and 8! I love it! This was my kind of Mom because she understood each age has it’s challenges when it comes to photographing her children, so she basically let me take the reigns and I believe we have some really great shots. Enjoy!
