A Year in The Making Destin Photographer Destin, Florida

A year in the making is right. Well, more then a year obviously..Little B was snuggled tight in his Mama’s belly for 9mths before he made his grand entrance. Did I ever expect to meet the 3rd cutest child in the world? No, I sure didn’t besides my own two fellas…the one that is running around and the one still in the oven(okay that didn’t sound right, but you get me..right?) I can honestly say Benny comes in 3rd place easily. 😉 I have had the honor and the privilege to photograph Jen when she was pregnant with this stud and every 3mths we got together to snap some photos of this little beast. 🙂

This is my opinion of an ideal client…if they were my friends before I photographed them and their children…sweet, but if we can become friends by me capturing those awesome memories…….that’s what I want to accomplish. I want to be a family’s photographer 4-life.. I want to be your Uncle Bob…okay..Aunt Bob, but with a better camera and little nuttier. 😉

I hope you enjoy this session as much as I did. I always get emotional and cry over photos, but I rarely laugh out loud…these photos…yea..LOL’ed big time. Yes, maybe the red cupcake wasn’t the best idea, but we still think it’s pretty hilarious.  Since I don’t use copyrighted music without permission..I found this band to put on the slideshow…enjoy the crazy music with the super sweet guitar solos. 😛

Little B…Back again

You should remember this little face by now. 🙂 He is adorable and I had so much fun at this session.  What a ham! He loves the camera and perhaps I have a small part in that…maybe because I have been putting it in his face every 3 mths for the past year.lol  I can’t wait for his 1yr session! Don’t you wanna squeeze him?! He has great hair too…go figure…his Mama is the best hair stylist around..maybe even the panhandle. 😉

Precious to me…

Isn’t this a beautiful moment? I loved meeting this mom of 2 daughters and a third on the way (and dad was there too…I’ll post some pics with him later:).  I love when a photograph spills over with emotion like this one does. In this case, this family had a struggle with infertility for 4 years before the gift of their daughters. Can’t you just see every emotion… joy, thankfulness, elation, wonder…. wrapped up in this embrace?  Stories of children coming after infertility as they are very close to my heart. Paddie and I have not been able to have children ourselves…yet. I think that’s why I so enjoy photographing children…each one is truly a celebration whether they were planned for years or a complete surprise.

Beau and Sheena Destin Wedding Photographer Destin, Florida

What a beautiful day for a wedding! Beau and Sheena were so relaxed and easy going all day. I really enjoy working with couples who enjoy their wedding day and not stress out over it.  Sheena and Beau are high school sweethearts and old classmates of mine.  Their wedding was like a mini high school reunion for me and I enjoyed seeing a few people that I haven’t seen in a long time.  Not very many Sheena’s around this town when I was growing up, so I was never used to hearing someone else having my name.  It was very odd and comical because I just never knew if they wanted me or her. I think I answered a lot of questions for her that day…not meaning too!lol

 I can’t express to you enough of how kind and sweet this couple was to me. 🙂 Even though we went to high school together…we didn’t keep a lot of contact after graduation and that really didn’t seem to matter.  Beau took a lot of crap from me because he doesn’t like photos taken of him so this gave me full reign to embarrass him and make him show off that great smile.  He was a good sport! Thank you Beau for putting up with me. 😉

The day went so smoothly with very little hiccups and that was thanks to Brandi the coordinator from Your Aisle Awaits which I recommend anyone planning their wedding to hire a coordinator.  The ceremony took place at Rutherford 465 in Destin on the beautiful manicured lawn and the reception immediate followed inside.  The food was amazing and the flowers and decor by Nouveau was gorgeous!  I just love it when everything comes together so perfectly. Sheena has fabulous taste. 🙂  I hope to meet up with my new/old friends again someday and I am sure that will be before I know it…Sheena has already claimed me as her photographer for life. That is a huge compliment..now I just have to get that in writing. 😛  Special thanks to my partner in crime Ashley..go check out her work…she is amazing and I am super blessed to have her as a friend. 🙂 Also a shout out to my human tripod Jan. 😉

Andy & Tamara – Rosemary Beach – Engagement Photography

I have fallen in love with this couple. They are so perfect for one another! I laughed so much during this session! I normally don’t laugh at my clients and poke too much fun unless I know them…so this was a treat for me to know this lovely couple from church. They were such good sports and laughed along with me…or at me..whatever.lol Of course you will notice that Andy is the cut up between the two…he had me rolling with those silly faces! Can’t wait to shoot their wedding in August! To Andy and Tamara…Thank you for letting me torture you with my corny humor. 🙂

If your about to watch the slideshow..then you will ask yourself who this artist is and where can I buy her cd? Her name is Gileah and this song is off her new cd “The Golden Planes.” She is a blogger as well and you can check out her blog or go purchase her Cd!

Funny little story…I was a show kid in high school…would still love to go to shows, but they don’t have awesome ones like they used too. 🙁 I guess you would call me the emo girl.lol I went to several shows and Gileah was one of the artist. This was like 10yrs ago people…now I have contacted her and she has given me special permission to use her music. 🙂 What an honor! She’s a local artist and we need to support local artist…go buy her cd. 🙂
