Pawprints & Sunsets | Destin Beach Photographer

Many times our families will bring their furry friends on their beach vacations. We always welcome your fur babies at our sessions! This little group of images was created during a large family session for the lovely Sloan family, photographed over Easter weekend at Tops’l Resort where this family had been coming on vacation for many years. This sweet lab enjoyed her closeups and being part of the family memories being made on the beach, and I thought this little collection was too cute not to share. -Lily

Celebrating 5 Years – And A Giveaway!

Wow- 5 years! I cant believe it was 5 years ago that Sheena and I took that step from friends to business partners and pooled our creative energy into what became Two Lights Photography! It’s been a whirlwind and someday we need to write a book about our escapades! We have weathered studio moves in August heat, added 3 new babies and two amazing additional photographers into our family. We have been chased off the beach by water spouts, wrestled runaway goats, and laughed at lot. We have photographed over a million images. (What?!) We have wrestled through big life changes, and been there for each other when we needed it most. It’s been beautiful and crazy and we have thanked God a thousand times over for Two Lights and everyone that’s been part of it.

The Gilstrap Family | Destin Beach Photographer

Can you tell I had a great time at this session! I LOVED EVERY SECOND. This sweet bunch are in the military and wanted to commemorate their time living on the Emerald Coast with a beach session. Brittany and I have lots in common….both studied art history…both lived in the beautiful city of Savannah a while. I was sad we were just now meeting as she was about to move. The kids were oh-so-sweet, playful and curious. The beach at Henderson Beach State Park with smooth and lovely that day, as it gets sometimes when the weather is just right- absolutely perfect for them that day! Many blessings on your move Gilstrap family, and I hope our paths will cross again someday:)

The Montisano Family | Destin Beach Photographer

Thunderstorms throughout the day made for an incredible sky for this session. Mason is the light of his parents eyes and such an incredibly sweet little boy. They come to the beach every year, but this year Mason is finally old enough to really enjoy it and their parents are soaking up every minute of him. He was the star of the session and let everyone know it! We were lucky enough to squeeze this session in…it starting pouring rain as we were walking up off the beach!

The Levell Family | Inlet Beach Photographer

The Levell family was full of energy! This was their first vacation to take as a group together and they were having such an amazing time. We walked down to Inlet Beach to see one of the most amazing sunsets with tons of fluffy clouds – we couldn’t have gotten any luckier.

Each family had their only little personalities, but the cousins really had such a unique bond. It was so fun to watch the older cousins helping with the little ones. The grandparents were so excited to get a picture of their entire family, we were even able to squeeze in the grandparents with their original kids, such a special shot for them. The kids were so good they celebrated with ice cream cake after.
